As our Senior Financial Analyst (FP&A), you'll play a critical role in the company's financial planning, reporting, and analysis. You'll own sales forecasting and monthly reporting, run the analysis behind our incentive programs, and turn data into clear recommendations that shape business decisions and improve financial performance. Working cross-functionally, you'll bring initiative, attention to detail, and strong results orientation, and you'll continually look for ways to make our financial processes more accurate and efficient.
Responsibilities:
Forecasting & Budgeting: Own revenue, sales, and backlog forecasting models while actively driving annual budgeting cycles.
Executive & Board Reporting: Prepare the monthly financial package, MD&A commentary, and executive presentation materials for board meetings.
Unit Economics & Margin Analysis: Lead gross profit and cost analyses across each publication to pinpoint financial drivers and improve margins.
Sales & Publisher Analytics: Track sales trends (renewals, cancellations, collections) and evaluate publisher earnings, retention, and churn metrics.
Value Creation & Incentives: Monitor Value Creation Plan milestones, quantify cost-saving initiatives, and administer sales incentive compensation models.
Process Automation: Build automated Excel models, partner with the Data team to streamline workflows, and support Sage Intacct reporting and month-end close.
Requirements
Skills and Requirements:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
Experience: 5+ years of dedicated, progressive experience in an FP&A role.
Financial Modeling: Exceptional Excel and financial modeling capabilities, supported by a strong understanding of financial statements and month-end close processes.
Autonomy & Agility: Demonstrated ability to manage competing deadlines, take initiative, and adapt proactively in a fast-paced environment.
Collaborative Communication: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to partner cross-functionally and communicate complex financial insights to non-finance stakeholders.
What will make you stand out:
BI & Data Visualization: Hands-on experience building reports in platforms such as Power BI or Looker.
AI Tool Adoption: Curiosity or practical experience leveraging AI tools (such as Claude) to accelerate financial analysis and reporting.
ERP Experience: Familiarity with Sage Intacct or similar mid-market accounting systems.
Continuous Improvement: Proven experience participating in or leading Kaizen and financial process improvement initiatives.
PE Background: Prior experience tracking Value Creation Plans, commission plans, or operating within a private equity-backed organization.
