Lifecore is seeking a
Senior Facility Engineer to provide technical leadership and oversight of facility infrastructure and utility systems. This role will lead facility-related projects, support manufacturing operations, and drive continuous improvement initiatives while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and Lifecore's Quality Management System.
In this critical role, you will:
- Lead and coordinate facility engineering projects, including planning, execution, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure successful delivery of objectives.
- Provide technical leadership and support for facility infrastructure systems (HVAC, chillers, boilers, pumps, filtration systems, motors, and security systems).
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to prioritize and manage facility projects, preventative maintenance activities, and work orders.
- Lead and support technical investigations related to facility equipment and system performance.
- Evaluate facility systems and recommend improvements to enhance reliability, efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
- Act as the primary engineering resource for facility design changes, including mechanical, electrical, and layout modifications.
- Provide technical guidance and oversight to contractors, vendors, architects, and engineering firms supporting capital projects.
- Support planning and management of Facility Engineering and Maintenance budgets.
- Provide work direction and support to maintenance personnel to ensure effective execution of maintenance activities.

- B.S. in Engineering required; Mechanical Engineering preferred.
- 5-8 years of facility engineering experience, preferably in a regulated industry.
- Demonstrated experience leading engineering projects from concept through execution.
- Extensive experience with cleanroom environments (ISO Class 5-8) and associated compliance requirements.
- Strong knowledge of pure water systems, including distillation, WFI, reverse osmosis, and UV disinfection.
- Working knowledge of GMPs and regulatory requirements impacting pharmaceutical and/or medical device manufacturing.
- Proven leadership and project management skills.
- Comprehensive understanding of standard maintenance practices and procedures.
- Experience authoring technical documentation (SOPs, PM procedures, protocols, etc.).
- In-depth knowledge of mechanical systems including pumps, filters, motors, steam systems, and air handling systems.
- Basic understanding of electrical systems, including low/high voltage troubleshooting, VFDs, and building automation systems.
- Familiarity with validation methodologies.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (P&IDs, layouts, and related drawings).
- Experience supporting regulatory inspections and customer audits.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Starting Salary: $110,000 - $128,000 annually with consideration for relevant experience
