POSITION SUMMARY & RESPONSIBILITIES:Independent contributor owning full-cycle facilities design for assigned pads/projects, from Basis of Design through construction support Develop project plans for engineering projects and work with oversight to manage those projects within time and budget constraints.
Key Reponsibilities:
- Work with Engineering Staff and Operations personnel to diagnose problems and improve facility performance.
- Author and own Basis of Design (BOD) documents for new pad facilities
- Facilitate or lead HAZOPs as node lead
- Select and size equipment per ASME/API standards (12F/650 tanks, Section VIII Div 1 vessels)
- Justify and submit AFEs for facilities scope within delegated authority
- Coordinate with Production Engineering, Regulatory, and Land on integrated pad design
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:- BS Mechanical, Chemical, Petroleum, or Civil Engineering
- 5-8 years relevant experience
Qualifications:- Proficient in oilfield facilities codes/standards/RPs and P&ID development
- Demonstrated independent judgment on design/cost trade-offs
- Comfortable presenting recommendations to cross-functional stakeholders
- Portfolio-level (multi-pad) design ownership is the defining scope shift from Engineer I
- Owns the BOD as a reusable, multi-pad standard - not a one-off document
- HAZOP facilitation authority (node lead) begins here
- First title expected to mentor without formal management authority
