Job TitleSr. Exterior Engineer
Job PurposeAs a Sr. Exterior Engineer, you will lead and inspire a highly motivated team of automotive engineers dedicated to bringing quality products to market on time, within budget and with exceptional quality. You will work with internal design engineering, supplier quality, program management and purchasing teams and the chosen external suppliers to ensure a smooth transition from design to physical product.
Responsibilities (80s of the Position)- Lead & Develop of Exterior components.
- Initiate cross-functional development to produce high quality design that meets requirements of the system as a whole.
- Work with the studio team to provide feedback and generate A-surfaces that meet all DFM requirements while keeping with the theme of the vehicle.
- Section development for to support development.
- Mentor less experienced team members.
- Proactively communicate issues to all other stakeholders
Required Experience - 4-year higher education qualifications (engineering or equivalent)
- 5+ years of hands-on automotive closures experience
- Advanced knowledge of the automotive landscape, particularly EVs.
- Ability to work within a small, task focused, creative, agile team.
- Experience with Catia 3DX.
Travel Requirements- Occasional travel may be required.
