Job TitlePlatform Engineer
Job Purpose The Platform Engineer will be responsible for CI/CD systems, cloud infrastructure, Infrastructure as Code, and Kubernetes. Additionally, they will work with development teams to provide tooling and standards to accelerate development.
Responsibilities (80s of the Position) - Manage CI/CD infrastructure
- Own the infrastructure code for our cloud infrastructure
- Manage and tune Kubernetes clusters and workloads
- Provide standards and patterns development teams can use to accelerate their work
- Manage internal and external helm charts and their associated deployments
- Manage automated security scanning tools and respond to applicable findings
- Manage IoT infrastructure
Required Experience - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent experience
- 3+ years working with Helm, Kubernetes and Terraform
- 3+ years working with cloud infrastructure
- 3+ years working with CI/CD tooling
- Experience with two or more programming languages
- Experience with secret management solutions
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with Agile methodologies and JIRA
- Experience with automated testing
- Solid understanding of 12 Factor application methodogy
Preferred Experience - Jenkins, especially Jenkins Configuration as Code
- ArgoCD
- Harness
- Observability platforms (Datadog, Dynatrace, Grafana, etc)
- Python
- NodeJS
Travel Requirements- Occasional travel for team events
