Senior Executive RecruiterAbout the RoleAs Cherry continues to scale, we're looking for a Senior Business Recruiter to join our team and help shape the next chapter of our growth.
The ideal candidate has a proven ability to identify, engage, and attract A-players across executive and senior leadership positions. You'll partner directly with our co-founders and C-suite to lead high-impact searches, proactively build relationships with top talent, and develop leadership pipelines that support Cherry's long-term growth.
Beyond owning some of our most critical searches, you'll serve as a strategic thought partner to our recruiting team, sharing best practices, mentoring teammates, and helping us continuously raise the bar on how we hire.
This is a fully remote position with occasional travel for team off-sites and bi-annual company retreats.
Responsibilities- Own end-to-end recruiting for executive and senior leadership positions across multiple business functions.
- Partner directly with Cherry's co-founders and C-suite to understand hiring priorities, organizational needs, and long-term talent strategy.
- Plan, initiate, and execute strategic sourcing initiatives to build robust executive and leadership candidate pipelines.
- Proactively identify and engage top-performing leaders through market mapping, Boolean searches, networking, referrals, and creative sourcing strategies.
- Build and maintain meaningful relationships with exceptional passive talent, including candidates for future leadership opportunities.
- Conduct initial candidate screenings and assessments to evaluate leadership capabilities, track records, and alignment with Cherry's hiring bar.
- Manage the executive interview process, ensuring an exceptional candidate and interviewer experience from initial outreach through offer acceptance.
- Provide market intelligence, compensation insights, and recruiting data to help leadership make informed hiring decisions.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate pipelines, sourcing activities, and recruitment metrics using our applicant tracking system and other tools.
- Collaborate with external executive search partners when needed to ensure alignment with Cherry's hiring standards.
- Serve as a thought partner to the broader recruiting team by sharing best practices, coaching teammates, and identifying opportunities to improve recruiting effectiveness.
- Work on strategic projects that improve and streamline the recruitment process during off-hiring quarters.
- Execute initiatives with scope beyond your job description as needed.
Qualifications- Proven top performer - 4+ years of recruiting experience, with a strong track record of hiring exceptional executive and senior leadership talent. Experience at a high-growth startup or executive search firm required.
- Ruthless sourcer - Expert in identifying top talent through LinkedIn Boolean searches, market mapping, networking, and creative sourcing techniques.
- Expert closer - Provides an exceptional candidate experience with a strong ability to build relationships, influence senior executives, and sell the company and opportunity.
- Strategic partner - Comfortable working directly with founders and C-suite executives to understand business needs and translate them into effective recruiting strategies.
- Think like an owner - Independent worker and self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, remote environment.
- Creative thinker - Ability to develop new approaches to sourcing, recruiting, and getting things done.
- Team player - Experience in a collaborative environment with a willingness to mentor others, share best practices, and take on responsibilities beyond your immediate role.
- Nice to haves - Experience at an executive search firm, building proactive leadership pipelines, and using Gem or Ashby.
