EXPECTATION AND RESPONSIBILITIESOn a daily basis, environmental engineers will...
- Conduct pre-construction surveys, monitoring, and prepare monitoring reports
- Maintain compliance with environmental permits and regulations
- Assure that erosion and sedimentation control measures are installed and maintained
- Assist with planning, developing, coordinating and ensuring the successful completion of projects
- Prepare and monitor project schedules to assure successful delivery of projects on time and on budget
- Prepare engineering project proposals in coordination with other engineers
- Make independent decisions and take responsibility for project solutions
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering from a U.S. accredited college or university
- At least 5 years of experience as an environmental engineer
- Relevant environmental compliance experience
- Experience in implementing the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA)
- Experience in technical writing
- Registered Civil Engineer (PE) in the State of Illinois
- Strong written, verbal, computer and organizational skills
- Ability to work as a team
- US citizenship
- Proficiency with MS Excel, MS Word and Primavera P6, AutoCAD is a plus
- 3.0 GPA or better required
