Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and technically proficient Senior Engineering Project Manager to lead complex global product development programs from concept through commercialization. This role requires a strategic leader who can successfully manage multiple interconnected projects across a global organization while maintaining the ability to dive into technical and component-level details when needed to drive execution and resolve critical path issues.

The ideal candidate can balance the big-picture view of program objectives, financials, milestones, resource planning, and business outcomes with hands-on project leadership, including component-level tracking, engineering changes, validation activities, supplier coordination, and risk management. This individual will serve as the central point of coordination across Engineering, Product Management, Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, Manufacturing, and external partners to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with performance and quality requirements.

The Senior Engineering Project Manager is responsible for all aspects of project execution, including project planning, financials including capital, resource management, configuration control, change management, risk mitigation, and product release activities. The successful candidate will proactively identify risks, remove barriers, challenge assumptions, and drive accountability across teams while maintaining visibility to both overall program health and the detailed activities required to successfully execute critical path deliverables.

Responsibilities
• Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand engineering designs, product architecture, manufacturing processes, and component-level development activities.
• Proven ability to manage both strategic program requirements and detailed execution activities simultaneously.
• Experience leading global, cross-functional product development teams in a matrixed organization.
• Ability to identify and manage critical path items, proactively escalate issues, and drive timely resolution.
• Demonstrated success coordinating engineering deliverables, supplier activities, testing, certification, and product launch readiness.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders from individual contributors through executive leadership.
• Experience managing complex engineering projects involving multiple sites, global teams, and external partners.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field
  • 5+ years of project management experience, preferably within engineering, product development, or manufacturing environments.
  • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand engineering concepts and drive detailed execution when required.
  • Demonstrated success managing multiple concurrent projects in a global, cross-functional organization.
  • Experience leading projects through the full product lifecycle, including concept development, validation, launch, and commercialization.
  • Proficiency with project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
  • Proven ability to manage project scope, schedules, budgets, resources, risks, and critical path activities.
  • PMP certification preferred; Agile, Scrum, or other project/program management certifications are a plus.
  • Travel: Potential international travel 1-2 times a year.
  • Location: Onsite: North Canton, Ohio
