Product Engineering within the New Products Group (NPI) is a fast-paced and collaborative team dedicated to new product rollout. The role involves daily interaction with a wide range of cross-functional partners, including technology development engineers, circuit designers, logic designers (customers), applications engineers, as well as component and quality engineers.

This position provides broad exposure to, and impact on, the entire product lifecycle-covering silicon definition, design, verification, manufacturing logistics, test coverage, product qualification, yield improvement, and customer support. The successful candidate will define product reliability experiments, execute qualifications for next-generation products, and lead the resolution of manufacturing challenges impacting product shipments.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Hands on support for product reliability and qualification.
  • Applied product level knowledge for statistical, electrical, and physical root cause failure analysis pre/post qualification.
  • Solving release to manufacturing related issues and driving corrective actions.
  • Define qualification designs, developing hardware, verifying experimental test conditions, and performing data analysis.
  • Supporting production test flows by defining test limits, analyzing test coverage, performing root cause yield analysis, and ensuring datasheet compliance.
  • Validating on chip components such as micro-processors, high speed I/O's, eNVM, SRAM, PLL's, and Analog I/O's.
  • Develop software for verifying and testing FPGA/SOC products.
  • Analyzing device behavior of FPGA/SOC products in both a production and engineering environment.


Requirements/Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • 6+ years knowledge of semiconductor product qualifications -JEDEC
  • 3+ years knowledge of silicon reliability and process failure mechanisms
  • 3+ years applied understanding of software and hardware
  • 1+ years knowledge of package reliability and assembly failure mechanisms
  • 2+ years hands-on experience with automation languages such as C, python, perl, java, visual basics
  • Comfortable using ATE, bench, and wafer test systems


Additional Qualifications:
  • Understanding of RTL (VHDL or Verilog)
  • Ability to develop FPGA designs using EAD development tools and flows is a plus
  • Quality and goal oriented
  • Excellent communication and initiative
  • Works well in collaborative environment
  • Knowledge of AECQ-100/MIL-STD-883 qualification standards
