As a Senior Engineer in Digital Power Systems team, you'll support in delivering cutting-edge digital substation solutions for the renewable energy, mining and heavy industry sectors. This role is ideal for a doer-someone who can apply their technical knowledge and support with growing our presence in the British Columbia region and beyond. You'll get the opportunity to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across Canada. Your ability to apply your technical expertise, foster client relationships and drive project success will be key to achieving our strategic goals.

  • Carry out engineering projects based on IEC 61850 standards for digital power systems
  • Play various roles, like project manager, project leader and proposal leader
  • Prepare competitive and value-added proposals

  • Design substation HMI/SCADA architecture and configuration

Your Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or in a related field
  • At least 10 years of experience in power systems
  • Available to travel to our other offices and client locations across Canada
  • Knowledge of the latest applicable technologies for electrical substations
  • Knowledge of power system communication protocols (MMS/GOOSE/SMV/DNP3)
  • Knowledge of how to configure protection relays and HMI/SCADA systems
  • Knowledge of IEC 61850 settings (manufacturing tools, system configuring tools)
  • Knowledge of telecommunications (Ethernet networks, PTP, PRP/HSR, cybersecurity)
  • Knowledge of test equipment for protection relays
  • Asset: graduate degree in electrical engineering or a related field
