Responsibilities
Oversees engineers performing diagnostics, monitoring and inspecting equipment, and reviewing grid technologies, building relationships to facilitate cross-functional knowledge transfer of related work groups.
Leads the preparation of technical reports, presentations, and other documentation to communicate project status, findings, and recommendations to stakeholders.
Collaborates and leads with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless development, integration and implementation of future technologies and asset performance management strategies.
Assists in a variety of engineering and business initiatives and grid strategies, including development of innovative procedures and design recommendations.
Provides support for new equipment installation and startup, then leads the hand over processes to the ramp and sustaining phases.
Leads junior engineers in investigation of threats on the distribution system infrastructure based on observations and findings.
Gathers and correlates basic data using engineering studies and procedures, which may include routine and diagnostic testing of components and systems.
Facilitates training and professional development opportunities for engineering team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.

Minimum Qualifications

Strong knowledge of distribution engineering, grid automation, protection and control systems, communications, utility operations, and associated technologies such as ADMS, OMS, DMS/SCADA, EMS, CYME, and work management platforms.
Proficiency in data analytics, visualization, and reporting tools, including Power BI, Excel, SharePoint, Tableau, SQL, Python, and enterprise data platforms.
Experience developing, deploying, and supporting end-to-end analytics applications, dashboards, performance metrics, and data-driven solutions using large, complex, or time-series datasets.
Ability to transform technical, analytical, and operational data into actionable insights, executive-level recommendations, and decision-support tools that deliver measurable business value.
Experience supporting compliance, audit readiness, regulatory requirements, risk management, and analytics initiatives within regulated or operationally critical environments.
Proven project management and stakeholder engagement skills, including planning, execution, issue resolution, risk mitigation, and alignment across engineering, operations, technology, vendor, and leadership teams.

Additional Information
This position's work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
