Qualifications

• 10+ years of electrical design experience required.
• 6+ years of Department of Defense (DoD) design experience.
• Minimum of 5 projects as DOR/EOR.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, and time management required.
• Proficient in interpreting building codes and standards.
• Detailed knowledge of MEP codes: UPC, IPC, IMC, NFPA, ASHRAE & IBC.
• LEED accreditation (preferred).
• Proficient in Autodesk Revit.
• Experience with Bluebeam PDF software (preferred).
• Registered Professional Engineer in Texas (or license in another state with commitment to obtain Texas license within 12 months).

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical design on MEP projects while coordinating with multiple disciplines and clients.
• Attend client meetings to represent MEP interests of the firm.
• Design systems and applications within buildings, coordinating with mechanical, electrical, civil, structural, and architectural disciplines.
• Assist in determining and developing project scope.
• Collect field data and direct subconsultants as necessary.
• Design mechanical systems, including air and water side and related controls.
• Prepare project cost estimates, specifications, and design analyses.
