Senior Electrical Engineer/Professional Engineer with 10+ years of experience to join our team. The Senior Electrical Engineer/PE will focus primarily on the design of
Department of Defense (DoD) and federal projects, including medical/government facilities, retail/commercial spaces, and institutional facilities, using Revit and AutoCAD software.
This position will collaborate with a multidisciplinary A/E team and work on a variety of projects, including municipal, land development, private, industrial, healthcare, military/defense, and other projects. The successful candidate will provide
subject matter expertise in Department of Defense design projects.
Senior Electrical Engineer/ Professional EngineerResponsibilities:- Perform electrical design in MEP related projects working alongside and coordinating with all disciplines and Clients.
- Attend client meetings and represent the MEP interests of the firm.
- Designing of systems and applications in buildings and facilities, including coordination with other disciplines - mechanical, electrical, civil, structural and architectural.
- Assists in determining and developing project scope.
- Assists in collection of field data, including directing subconsultants.
- Design mechanical systems, air and water side and related controls.
- Prepare cost estimates, specifications, and design analyses.
Senior Electrical Engineer/ Professional Engineer Qualifications:- 10+ years of Electrical design experience required.
- 6+ years of Department of Defense (DOD) design experience.
- Minimum of 5 projects as DOR/EOR
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, time management required.
- Proficiency in understanding building codes and standards.
- Detailed knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing codes and standards: UPC, IPC, IMC, NFPA, ASHRAE & IBC.
- LEED accreditation (preferred).
- Proficiency in Autodesk Revit.
- Experience with Bluebeam PDF software (preferred).
- Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Texas (or license in another state with the ability and commitment to obtain Texas license within 12 months.)
