This Role

AMS is hiring a Senior Electrical Engineer with 10+ years of experience to serve as a technical leader in testing, evaluating, and troubleshooting advanced I&C systems. This role handles complex diagnostic challenges, supports system-level evaluations, mentors junior engineers, and represents AMS in customerfacing technical engagements.

Senior engineers at AMS play a pivotal role in improving equipment, methodologies, test procedures, and overall engineering quality across the organization.

 

 

Responsibilities

 Lead complex testing and troubleshooting of nuclear I&C and electrical systems Oversee data acquisition, signal measurement, advanced diagnostics, and engineering evaluations Serve as a primary technical expert during onsite plant trips and customer interactions Diagnose unexpected test results, determine root causes, and recommend corrective actions Support hardware development, prototype evaluation, equipment upgrades, and documentation updates Drive quality assurance compliance and structured engineering processes Produce highquality reports, evaluations, and customerfacing technical documentation Mentor junior engineers and guide technical development Provide expertise during customer discussions, project planning, and engineering reviews Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams and maintain strong customer rapport

 

 

Qualifications

 Bachelore28099s or Mastere28099s degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related field 10+ years of professional engineering experience Advanced troubleshooting and diagnostic skills Deep handse280on experience with instrumentation, controls, electrical systems, signal processing, hardware, or DAQ systems Expertise using oscilloscopes, spectrum/network analyzers, multimeters, signal generators, and DAQ tools Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills Ability to work independently while supporting complex engineering tasks Willingness to travel (~25%) U.S. citizenship required

Preferred

 Experience in nuclear, defense, aerospace, manufacturing, or other regulated industries Hardware troubleshooting, prototype development, or circuite280level testing experience Familiarity with MILe28093STDe28093461, IEC 61000, or EMC/EMI troubleshooting Experience mentoring or leading engineers Strong background writing advanced engineering evaluations or test procedures
