Full Job Description
This position, Senior Electrical Engineer (P3), is responsible for supporting the life science automation product line.

This position reports to the manager of Automation Hardware and is part of the Automation team located in Indianapolis, IN and will be an on-site role.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
  • Develop biotech products from concept through release and sustainment, translating user needs and design requirements into robust solutions.
  • Work in a team environment consisting of various engineering disciplines, project managers and technicians.
  • Present findings and recommendations and participate in design reviews.


The essential requirements of the job include:
  • B.S. or advanced degree in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years (B.S.) or 3+ years (M.S.) of industry experience designing and developing products.
  • Design of analog & digital circuits.
  • Design of printed circuit board assemblies (schematics & layout).
  • Experience working on a team with multiple disciplines to create new products and solving problems identified in production and fielded instruments.


Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:
  • Ability to travel up to 10% (domestic and international).
  • Ability to lift, move or carry equipment up to 20lb.


It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience with:
  • Software and/or firmware (C/C++, Python, etc.).
  • Cadence PCB and schematic software tools.
  • Experience designing, assembling and debugging lab-built prototypes.
  • Strong understanding of current manufacturing processes for low volume, high mix products.
  • Operating within ISO quality systems related to design control and product release.
