Senior Networking Resident Engineer - Top Secret Clearance Required - Alexandria, VA (Onsite)

Job Description:Job Description:We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Network Engineer joining our Service Delivery organization as a resident engineer in an on-site role. In this position you will be responsible for supporting SRX, QFX, and EX platforms in an enterprise environment. The role will be assisting the customer with planning for network deployments developing implementation plans and performing testing of solutions.
You will develop deep product knowledge, acting as the customer's primary point of contact in response to operational issues, engaging Juniper technical assistance Centers (JTAC) resolutions. This includes opening cases, providing requested data, advanced troubleshooting, and providing clearly written information and documentation as requested in support of these duties.
Location: Alexandria, VA onsite daily work, not a remote engagement Clearance required: Top-Secret US Citizenship requiredTravel: Travel less than 20% per quarter, if requestedResponsibilities: - Operations and maintenance of an enterprise network
- Work with customer to consult and support major projects in aspects to changes of the customers' network
- Be assigned to client engineers to provide professional support in the installation of new networking deployments
- Deep understanding of stateful firewall services, routing and switching technologies commonly implemented in enterprise networks including QoS
- Juniper products to be supported: SRX, QFX, EX
Knowledge and Skills: - Engineering Design/Architecture, Operational, and Support experience in a medium to large enterprise environment
- Intermediate to expert understanding of stateful firewalls, routing and switching with traffic engineering support
Additional Skills: - Professionalism, Accountability, Active Learning, Active Listening, Critical Thinking, Cross-Functional Teamwork, Empathy, Personnel Initiative
Education and Experience Required: - Bachelor's degree is desirable, but not required or equivalent work experience
- Minimum 7+ years of hands-on network engineering experience
- Juniper and/or other vendor certifications a strong plus
- Experience with Juniper products a plus, but not a requirement
