A Brief Summary of This Position: The Sr. Director, Telecom Structures is responsible for the strategic and commercial leadership of the Structures portfolio, including Macro and Concealment (Camouflage). This role ensures alignment between product line strategy and execution across commercial, engineering, manufacturing, and field delivery to drive growth and profitability.
This leader directly oversees Product Line Managers for each product line and has end-to-end accountability for business performance, including revenue, margin, cost structure, and working capital.
Essential Functions: - Define and execute product strategies across Macro and Concealment solutions aligned to NA Telecom growth objectives
- Partner with Sales leadership to drive market penetration, pricing strategy, and customer segmentation
- Ensure strong voice-of-customer integration into product development and positioning
- Oversee full product lifecycle: roadmap, innovation, rationalization, and discontinuation
- Align offerings to evolving carrier and infrastructure customer requirements
- Improve project margin performance through design standardization, costing discipline, and execution rigor
- Own P&L performance across all assigned product lines
- Deliver revenue growth, margin expansion, and cash flow targets, and backlog conversion
- Drive cost competitiveness through design-to-value
- Establish KPIs tied to project execution, cost, and customer delivery
- Lead and develop Product Line Managers across assigned portfolio
- Build a high-performance, commercially minded and operationally disciplined team
- Drive capability development in project-based product management and execution
- Drive clarity of roles between PLM, Sales, Engineering, and Operations
- Reports to: VP/GM, North America Telecom
- This role requires up to 20% travel, including overnight stays.
Required Qualifications of Every Candidate (Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities): - 10-15+ years of experience in product management, operations, or general management
- Proven experience managing P&L and leading cross-functional teams
- Strong background in telecom infrastructure, components, or related industrial sector preferred
- Demonstrated ability to integrate product strategy with operational execution
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred
Working Environment and Physical Efforts: Work is typically performed in an office setting. The incumbent is regularly required to sit for extended periods of time, as well as talk and listen on the phone and in personal conversations or meetings. Environment is fast paced and demanding most of the time. 20% travel requirements for this position. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms while working in the office with various files and forms and while working on the computer. The employee is occasionally required to move about the office. Incumbent must utilize proper ergonomic safeguards such as monitor height and positions, keyboard location and height and proper wrists rests. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds in working with large files, binders, and computer equipment. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
