General Summary:As a Qualcomm ASIC Engineer, you will define, model, design (digital and/or analog), optimize, verify, validate, implement, and document IP (block/SoC) development for a variety of high performance, high quality, low power world class products. Qualcomm Engineers collaborate with cross-functional groups to determine product execution path.
Minimum Qualifications:• Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field and 10+ years of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience.
OR
Master's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field and 9+ years of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Science, Engineering, or related field and 8+ years of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience.

Qualcomm ASIC IP has an exciting opportunity within its Ethernet Controller IP/Soft IP division for a up and coming technology focus ASIC Architect. The successful candidate will work within the team responsible for the architecture development of OTN / Ethernet / UALink Intellectual Property (IP).
What You'll Do - Lead the Ethernet/UALink/OTN ASIC IP architecture development for AI and datacenter.
- Work with design and verification teams in ASIC or ASIC IP projects
- Interact with different functional groups for IP requirements and system requirements.
- Architect, develop and document the ASIC/IP design
- RTL development in SystemVerilog or Verilog V2K/VHDL
- Architect and develop models to verify system architecture.
- Provide oversight and direction to employees/teams in accordance with the organization's policies and procedures.
- Coach, mentor and develop staff, including overseeing new employee onboarding and provide career development planning and opportunities.
- Empower employees to take responsibility for their jobs and goals. Delegate responsibility and expect accountability and regular feedback.

What You'll Need- MSEE with 8 years of experience or BSEE with 10 years of experience in ASIC or IP development
- Standard Protocol knowledge - Ethernet, ESUN, UALink, OTN
- Solid experience with VHDL, Verilog and SystemVerilog
- Experience with ASIC tools
- Experience in SystemVerilog+UVM
- Excellent ability to use Randomized and Directed Verification Methodologies
- Experience with Unix/Linux Shell scripting
- Experience with source code revisioning systems, SVN, CVS, RCS e.g.
It'd Be Amazing If You Had- Experience in Ethernet, ESUN, UALink, OTN
- Experience with Debugging Tools
- Experience with PERL, TCL, Python and C/C++ programming
