Full Job Description
Senior Director, Software Development
Department: Development
Employment Type: Full Time
Location: Atlanta
Description
As a Senior Director, Software Development, you will own the engineering organization behind Infor's Financials & Supply Management (FSM) portfolio, including Mobile Supply Chain Management (MSCM). You will lead the technical strategy, architecture, and delivery of next-generation capabilities for our industry-specific cloud suites, serving customers in healthcare, public sector, and other complex, regulated industries.
We are looking for a hands-on engineering leader who stays close to the code and the architecture, and who is just as comfortable working with teams on design and delivery as setting direction. You will be an innovator who applies AI and agentic engineering practices to both how we build software and what we build, transforming a large, mature ERP platform into an AI-enabled one.
A Typical Day in the Life Includes:
Set and drive the technical vision, roadmap, and execution for FSM and MSCM, balancing support of a large installed base with modernization and new innovation.
Lead, mentor, and grow a global team of engineers, architects, and managers (including offshore teams), building a culture of high performance, ownership, and accountability.
Stay hands-on: review architecture and designs, contribute to technical decisions, and step into code, prototypes, and proofs of concept when it moves the team forward.
Own the architecture, design, and quality of complex financial and supply chain systems; ensure alignment with Infor's technology strategy and enterprise architecture standards.
Define and drive an agentic SDLC: scale AI coding assistants, autonomous agents, and AI-assisted testing, code review, and release practices across the development lifecycle, and measure the impact on velocity, quality, and cost.
Identify, prototype, and ship AI-based use cases for complex ERP workflows, including AI agents that move from read-only inquiry to governed, auditable actions, plus intelligent automation, conversational experiences, predictive analytics, and decision support for finance and supply chain users.
Champion agile methodologies, continuous integration and delivery, and DevOps practices to ensure rapid, reliable releases of high-availability, mission-critical software.
Partner with Product Management, UX, QA, Infrastructure, and Support to align business priorities and deliver customer-centric solutions, with a clear line of sight to customer outcomes.
Maintain a deep understanding of customer needs in targeted industries and ensure product capabilities deliver measurable value.
Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies; advocate for cloud-native architectures, microservices, and AI-driven solutions where they create real customer value.
Basic Qualifications:
Experience as a senior engineering leader (Director level or above).
Experience managing large, distributed development teams, including offshore.
Experience in cloud-native application development, microservices, APIs, and enterprise SaaS platforms.
Experience in Java and modern web and programming languages and frameworks.
Experience with public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Demonstrated hands-on experience with AI-assisted or agentic software development and with building AI-based solutions.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in vertical SaaS or ERP, supply chain, or financial management solutions.
Experience with data analytics, machine learning, and event-driven architecture.
Experience in industries such as healthcare, manufacturing, or public sector.
Experience leading modernization of a large, long-lived ERP product line, including cloud migration and re-platforming.
Experience with mobile supply chain, warehouse, or inventory solutions.
Prior experience leading an organization through a transformation of its engineering practices, such as adopting AI-driven development at scale.
