Senior Director, Platform

The Opportunity

Flexera is investing heavily in platform capabilities that will define our next decade of growth.

We are looking for a Senior Director of Product to lead the strategy, execution, and evolution of our Platform portfolio including the Unified Object Model (UOM), Data Platform, platform services, and cross-product user experience initiatives.

This is a highly visible leadership role responsible for shaping the capabilities that enable every Flexera solution. Rather than owning a single product area, you will create the data, platform, and experience foundations that allow teams to innovate faster, deliver connected customer experiences, and unlock AI-powered insights across the platform.

You will partner closely with Product, Engineering, Architecture, UX, and Data leaders globally to define and execute a long-term platform vision while leading and growing a high-performing product team.

This role is ideal for a leader who is equally passionate about data platforms, platform strategy, AI enablement, and customer experience innovation.

The First 90 Days

Your first responsibility is to understand the platform's role in Flexera's future.

That means building deep relationships with leaders across Product, Engineering, UX, Architecture, Data Engineering, and AI while gaining an understanding of our current platform landscape, investment priorities, and customer challenges.

You will assess the state of our platform strategy, including:

• Unified Object Model and semantic layer initiatives
• Data acquisition and data quality capabilities
• Data governance and platform standards
• Shared platform services
• Cross-product experience consistency
• AI readiness and contextualization capabilities

You will quickly develop a point of view on where platform investments can have the greatest impact and establish clear priorities that improve both customer outcomes and product team velocity.

You will also become a visible platform leader within the product organization helping teams understand not just what we are building but why a common platform strategy is critical to Flexera's future.

What You Will Own

Platform Strategy

You will define and execute the long-term strategy for Flexera's shared platform capabilities, ensuring that our data, services, and experiences enable future growth across the portfolio.

You will balance short-term product needs with longer-term platform investments and continually advocate for decisions that increase scalability, consistency, and reuse.

Unified Data Foundation

You will own the product strategy for the Unified Object Model, semantic layer, governance capabilities, and broader data platform initiatives.

You will help establish a trusted, governed, AI-ready data foundation that supports every Flexera solution and provides customers with a consistent view of their technology estate.

Platform Adoption

A platform only creates value when teams use it.

You will partner with product and engineering leaders across Flexera to drive adoption of shared capabilities, reduce duplication, and ensure platform investments deliver measurable business outcomes.

Unified User Experience

You will help shape a cohesive cross-product experience that simplifies onboarding, navigation, workflows, insights, and value realization.

Working closely with UX leadership, you will champion a customer-centered approach that makes Flexera One feel like a platform rather than a collection of products.

Team & Leadership

You will lead, develop, and grow a team of product managers focused on platform and user experience initiatives.

You will establish a high bar for platform product management, customer understanding, systems thinking, strategic prioritization, and measurable impact.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of Product Managers focused on Platform, Data, and User Experience.
• Define the vision, strategy, roadmap, and success metrics for Flexera's shared platform capabilities.
• Drive the evolution of the Unified Object Model, semantic layer, and data platform strategy.
• Partner with Architecture and Engineering leaders to establish scalable platform capabilities that support future growth.
• Work closely with UX leadership to create consistent, intuitive, and connected customer experiences across Flexera One.
• Establish governance models, operating processes, and prioritization frameworks that improve transparency and decision quality.
• Drive adoption of platform capabilities across product teams and measure platform business impact.
• Partner with AI and Analytics leaders to ensure platform investments support future AI-driven experiences.
• Build strong relationships across globally distributed teams and establish effective operating rhythms between India and North America.
• Translate complex technical initiatives into clear business value for executive stakeholders.
• Champion a platform-as-a-product mindset across the organization.

What We Are Looking For

Required

• 8+ years of product management experience, including at least 5 years leading product teams.
• Demonstrated success leading platform, data, infrastructure, developer platform, or shared services product organizations.
• Experience defining and scaling enterprise data platforms, governance frameworks, semantic models, or common platform services.
• Strong understanding of platform economics, adoption strategies, and cross-functional stakeholder management.
• Proven ability to work across Product, Engineering, Architecture, Design, Data, and AI organizations.
• Experience building and executing multi-year-old platform roadmaps that serve multiple product teams.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong systems thinking and ability to navigate complex organizational and technical dependencies.
• Experience working effectively with globally distributed teams and senior leadership across time zones.

Preferred

• Experience with SaaS platforms, enterprise software, IT management, cloud management, FinOps, or technology data platforms.
• Knowledge of data modeling, semantic layers, data governance, data quality frameworks, and data products.
• Experience building AI-ready platforms, knowledge graphs, contextualization layers, or intelligent experiences.
• Experience leading user experience transformation initiatives within a multi-product SaaS environment.
• Experience operating within PE-backed or high-growth technology organizations.
• Experience serving as the most senior product leader for a regional office of a US-headquartered company.
