ABOUT THE JOB

We're looking for a Senior Director to join the finance team supporting one of Anduril's fastest-growing divisions. This is a high-visibility financial leadership role responsible for leading and developing a team who drive capital allocation and contract/program profitability across our Frontier Systems division. The successful candidate will operate at both the strategic level - architecting sustainable financial models and shaping the division's capital allocation - and the operational level - embedding with division and business line leaders to drive day-to-day financial rigor. This role will interface with senior leadership across finance, production, engineering, growth, program management, and supply chain to shape and execute on the division's long-term business objectives.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Leadership & Business Partnering
  • Build, lead, and develop a team of finance managers and analysts, elevating the quality and consistency of financial support across business lines
  • Serve as strategic advisor to business line and division leaders, translating financial analysis into resourcing, tradeoff, and operational decisions
  • Guide production and engineering partners in defining KPIs and evaluating performance against productivity and profitability targets

Strategic Finance
  • Build and pressure-test the long-term business cases behind the division's biggest bets, including new IP, facility investments, and major program pursuits
  • Inform the division's long-range plan by translating production ramps, R&D investment, and contract timing into scenario-based outcomes that give executive leadership a coherent view of where and when to deploy capital
  • Benchmark against peers across defense, autonomy, and industrial tech to sharpen the division's point of view on unit economics, efficiency, and capital allocation
  • Partner with Growth to shape pricing structures and new commercial models for the division's future products and programs

Operational Finance
  • Direct planning for headcount, capital, and operating expense, ensuring alignment with company targets
  • Own working capital forecasts and capital expenditure tracking across a portfolio of product lines and contracts
  • Ensure supply chain financial commitments are tracked and governed appropriately as the business scales
  • Oversee program financial management, including, program reporting, milestone invoicing, and monthly financial status, atop strong relationships with customer and program counterparts
  • Partner with accounting to drive a rigorous financial close, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and consistency across the division

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • 15+ years of progressive finance experience, including FP&A leadership at a company scaling through significant revenue and headcount growth.
  • Ownership of a full planning cycle, including long-range planning, annual operating planning, and rolling forecasts for a business of meaningful complexity.
  • Strong command of hardware/product economics, including unit cost, gross margin, inventory and working capital, and the cash implications of building physical products.
  • Experience preparing materials for and presenting to senior leadership.
  • Track record of hiring and developing finance teams and driving process improvement with first principles problem solving.
  • Proven ability to operate as a strategic business partner across functions, earning trust and influencing decisions before they are made.
  • Fluency in the underlying financial detail, with the ability to build models when needed and defend key assumptions.
  • U.S. Person status and eligibility to obtain a security clearance.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Manufacturing or industrial finance experience, including capital project evaluation and factory ramp planning.
  • Exposure to IPO readiness, public-company reporting, or debt and equity financing processes.


US Salary Range

$253,000-$336,000 USD

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations. Highly competitive equity grants are included in the majority of full time offers; and are considered part of Anduril's total compensation package.
