  • Coach and support managers and engineers at all experience levels.
  • Influence project design and operational workflows for the team.

Senior Director, Flights Engineering

In this role you will get to:
  • Lead and be responsible for a software development teams that owns the services that power Priceline's Flight Shopping Platform
  • Serve as a leader of leaders, scaling delivery and cross-functional execution through your teams
  • Drive technology strategy, operational backbone, and system architecture decisions across the flights domain
  • Lead adoption of AI/agentic engineering practices to accelerate shopping-experience innovation
  • Own the multi-team roadmap and partner with Product Group Engineering leads, flight commercial stakeholders, and cross-functional peers to set priorities and long-term technical direction
  • Manage and coach talented managers and engineers of all levels of experience.
  • Have influence on what we build, how we build, and how we work.
  • Participate in various formal and/or grass-roots technical and non-technical communities at Priceline.

Who you are:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or related field.
  • 15+ years of experience in software engineering and development.
  • 5+ years experience in leading software development teams.
  • Proven track record managing a mix of people-managers and senior ICs, overseeing an org of 20+ across multiple teams
  • B2C, e-commerce, or OTA experience, ideally with a strong experimentation culture; travel industry experience a plus
  • Skilled at hiring, coaching, and developing engineering leaders, including performance management of managers
  • Experience operating across global, cross-functional teams and managing competing priorities through organizational change
  • Proven collaboration skills with both technical and less-technical colleagues.
  • Experience with developing on Cloud, especially GCP and AWS.
  • Strong system-architecture fluency, with comfort partnering deeply on technical decisions
  • Illustrated history of living the values necessary to Priceline: Customer, Innovation, Team, Accountability and Trust.

There are a variety of factors that go into determining a salary range, including but not limited to external market benchmark data, geographic location, and years of experience sought/required. In addition to a competitive base salary, certain roles may be eligible for an annual bonus and/or equity grant.

The salary range for this position is $210,000- $265,000K USD.
