Job Description:
YOUR ROLE:
As the Senior Director, Analytics, you will serve as the analytics lead and day-to-day team lead for the Exxon account. You will oversee the analytics strategy and data-driven insights, playing a critical role in shaping data-informed strategic frameworks, from alignment on client objectives to test design, measurable outcomes, and attribution methodologies that build a business case through results and ROI.
This position supervises a team of analysts, works closely with cross-functional agency leadership, and interfaces directly with senior clients at Exxon. You will define data, decisioning, and measurement strategies to optimize multi-touch point marketing programs across all forms of media (digital, social, direct, CRM, etc.). You will establish and instill the standards, methods, and best practices that enable your team to consistently provide best-in-class measurement plans, meaningful analysis, and relevant analytical deliverables.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Account Leadership: Serve as the overall day-to-day RAPP Analytics team lead for the Exxon account, including managing Data Analytics, Data Science, and Analytics Enablement sub-teams.
Measurement & Strategy: Establish meaningful KPIs, define learning agendas, and build comprehensive measurement, data, and attribution plans. Ensure proper data collection, test-and-learn plans, and ROI structures are in place.
Campaign Analytics & Optimization: Generate actionable observations and insights around campaign results to optimize paid media (programmatic, social, search), CRM, and omni-channel performance marketing.
Methodology & Frameworks: Design and recommend appropriate analytic methodology and test/learn frameworks. Develop phased, evolutionary roadmaps to progress the client's analytical sophistication over time.
Cross-Discipline Collaboration: Work seamlessly with Strategy, Experience Planning, Project Management, and Creative teams to bring data-driven ideas to life and inform component optimization (creative, format, value proposition, target, message).
Team Management: Attract, nurture, and retain top talent. Provide managerial leadership to analysts and data strategists, overseeing staff development plans, coaching, and performance evaluations.
Agency Growth & Thought Leadership: Author SOWs, scope documentation, and resource estimates. Codify best practices, share methods, and participate in new business pitches. Author POVs on recent trends in marketing analytics, data privacy, and data science.
Center of Excellence Activation: Activate the Marketing Sciences COE to design and develop predictive analytic solutions, machine learning, and AI applications as required.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
Experience: 10+ years of marketing analytics, technology, or data science experience.
Domain Expertise: Extensive working background in digital analytics, direct marketing principles, and database marketing structure.
Technical Knowledge: Working knowledge of digital measurement technologies (tagging, web services, digital tools, etc.), statistical analysis, marketing mathematical rigor, and ROI analysis.
Project Leadership: Experience authoring scope documents (SOWs, hours estimates, BRDs) and milestone roadmaps.
Communication: Proven analytical skills including the interpretation of data and translation into actionable insights. Superb presentation and storytelling skills to inspire confidence in senior clients.
Management: Strong management skills and a proven track record of talent development and resolving personnel matters.
Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.

DESIRABLE (BUT NOT REQUIRED):
Industry Experience: Previous experience working on Energy, Oil & Gas, or related enterprise-level corporate accounts (highly preferred for Exxon).
Technology Stack: Familiarity with AWS stack (Sagemaker, Redshift, S3, EC2).
Tagging & Tracking: Experience utilizing tag management systems (Google Tag Manager, Adobe Launch, Ensighten) and enterprise taxonomy management tools.
Advanced Analytics: Experience with scripting/querying (SQL, Python, etc.) and an understanding of Machine Learning/AI applications (e.g., Profile-based segmentation, LTV, Propensity modeling, Media Mix Modeling).
