Description
The
Designer V, Structural serves as a structural discipline REVIT Subject Matter Expert and provides direct technical support to engineering design professionals within the structural practice group for their Projects. You will serve as a structural discipline content and standards expert, supporting team members in the use of content, incorporating and testing content updates, and providing discipline training. Expect to engage all scale of projects from short duration single office engagements to multi-office, multi- year major projects as an SME.
Creative, innovative thinking within the bounds of Firmwide standards is often necessary to address the diversity of project types, team structures, project and practice goals you will encounter across the engineering groups.
In addition to what's described above, the candidate we seek will fit the following profile:
Responsibilities:- Provide technical expertise to project teams regarding REVIT model creation, development, and documentation for structural projects.
- Provide technical REVIT detailing expertise in a variety of construction materials and building types.
- You must have excellent collaborative and organizational skills. You will collaborate with designers and teams to translate design concepts into REVIT model and the creation of project documents.
- Exhibits leading knowledge of the creation, configuration and maintenance of structural company content and templates.
- Conducts basic or refresher Revit training sessions for existing employees as well as orientation for new employees within the structural discipline.
- An ability to document and prepare materials for training will be expected of you as these are warranted.
- You must have demonstrated mastery of Revit, including ability to collaborate, strategize diverse project types and scales
- Attend internal project team meetings.
- Proactively perform cross-discipline discussions and coordination.
- A basic ability to provide support or experience providing support using Revit is required.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Revit.
- 5-10 years' experience in an architectural/engineering or similarly oriented practice environment.
- The minimum of an Associates degree in an Architectural Technologies or Engineering Technologies program is required
- Self-motivated team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to deal with multiple competing priorities and manage time effectively.
Preferred Education and Experience:- Experience with REVIT plug-ins or supporting engineering calculation program.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD
- Other non-Autodesk systems experience and knowledge (e.g. engineering discipline specific computational programs)
Salary range for this position varies between $85,000 - $120,000, depending upon applicable experience.
