Job Title: Senior Demand Planner, Consumer

Job Location: Miami, FL

The Opportunity

The Senior Demand Planner, Consumer, partners closely with Operations, Sales, Marketing, Analytics, Trade, Finance, and Product Lifecycle teams to ensure monthly forecast alignment and timely updates in Cloud Suite. Owns SKU-level demand forecasting for certain consumer customers and presents insights in Demand Review forums, supported by KPI reporting, variance analysis, and actionable improvement plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develops and maintains the Consensus Demand Plan for all SKUs of assigned Consumer accounts by using appropriate customer-level sales and inventory information, promotional data, distribution information, statistical forecasts, and business assumptions. Collaborates with the Sales team monthly for forecast alignment and presents key insights, risks, opportunities, and recommendations in Demand alignment meetings.
  • Analyzes retailer POS and customer shipped sales data to actively identify exceptional or un-forecasted activities. Drives fast, appropriate actions to minimize the impact of deviations from the Demand Plan and communicates these actions and business impacts to stakeholders.
  • Works closely with partners at collaborative accounts and brokers to evaluate inventory levels, distribution changes, promotional activity, and display needs and concerns, and determines and communicates recommendations and courses of action.
  • Coordinates projects, including new product launches and lifecycle changes, across many levels of the organization including US Marketing, Analytics, Sales, Trade, Finance, IT, Supply Chain, Manufacturing Operations, and Global Supply Chain.
  • Improves forecast accuracy and drives out systematic forecast bias through detailed analyses of past performance. Consistently tracks forecast errors and root causes, identifies key drivers, and develops corrective actions to improve future forecast performance.
  • Monitors essential KPIs, such as COF, Lost Sales, demand plan forecast accuracy and bias, vendor and customer performance, and stock in trade. Develops and executes corrective actions when outside of established boundaries and proactively identifies material demand risks and opportunities.
  • Utilizes demand planning systems and exception-based analytics to identify and prioritize material forecast deviations, risks, and opportunities, focusing planning activities on the highest-impact issues.
  • Participates in the company S&OP process as defined by Galderma best practices, partnering cross-functionally to reconcile demand signals and support alignment to an unbiased consensus demand plan.
  • Maintains data integrity through data cleansing, validation processes, and ad-hoc checks. Supports continuous improvement of demand planning processes, statistical forecasting, and effective utilization of planning-system capabilities.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field from a four-year college/university required.
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in sales and operations planning, supply and demand planning, new product forecasting and/or inventory management required.
  • Strong understanding of how planning process drives operations.
  • Knowledge of statistical forecasting methods and replenishment models with experience in statistical forecasting systems preferred.
  • Experience within CPG (consumer package goods) industry, retail, and/or pharmaceutical environment strongly preferred.
  • Ability to demonstrate advanced proficiency in Excel techniques, retail math and statistical analysis; experience with "V Lookups"/ Pivot Tables.
  • Proficient with MS Office.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation). Ability to present information to cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to organize, manage, and prioritize multiple tasks to assure timely completion in a constantly changing environment.
  • Self-starter, highly motivated, and able to see problems and recommend or take appropriate actions to solve them, ability to work in detail and be result oriented.
  • Demonstrates high personal integrity, teamwork abilities, and customer brand focus
