Responsibilities

PeopleTec is currently seeking a Senior Defense IntegrationSubject Matter Expert to support our National Capital Region location.

The selected candidate will support a Department of Defense customer in the National Capital Region - providing strategic planning, mission integration, and senior-level advisory support to Government leadership in the development, coordination, and execution of complex defense initiatives.

Duties Include:
  • Provide senior-level advisory support to Government leadership on defense planning, capability integration, and mission execution.
  • Coordinate with organizations across the Department of Defense to facilitate collaboration, information sharing, and strategic alignment.
  • Analyze complex operational and strategic issues and develop recommendations for Government decision-makers.
  • Develop executive-level briefings, white papers, reports, talking papers, decision packages, and presentation materials.
  • Support strategic planning activities, implementation planning, and periodic assessment of organizational objectives.
  • Conduct research and analysis of defense policies, emerging capabilities, and operational concepts.
  • Facilitate meetings, working groups, senior leader engagements, and technical exchanges.
  • Capture meeting outcomes, action items, and recommendations while ensuring timely follow-up.
  • Support outreach and engagement activities with Government organizations, industry partners, and other stakeholders, as appropriate.
  • Assist with project planning, schedule management, risk identification, and task execution.
  • Provide recommendations that improve mission effectiveness, organizational coordination, and program execution.


Qualifications

Required Skills/Experience:
  • 10-15 years of experience supporting Department of Defense organizations in strategy, operations, requirements, capability development, acquisition support, or headquarters staff functions.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting senior military or civilian leadership.
  • Experience coordinating activities across multiple organizations and stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience developing executive-level briefings and technical documentation.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Teams.
  • An active DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI is required to perform this work. Candidates are required to have an active Top Secret clearance upon hire, and the ability to maintain this level of clearance during their employment.

Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Public Administration, Political Science, National Security Studies, Military Science, or a related discipline.
  • Masters preferred

Desired Skills:
  • Experience supporting Department of Defense headquarters organizations.
  • Familiarity with Joint planning processes, capability development, or requirements generation.
  • Experience supporting senior executive or General/Flag Officer staffs.
  • Knowledge of defense acquisition, strategic planning, or capability integration activities.
  • Experience facilitating executive meetings and working groups.
  • PMP, DAWIA, JPME, or equivalent professional certifications are desirable.
