Description

Markon is seeking an experienced Senior Data Analyst to support an Intelligence Community customer by evaluating adherence to IC analytic standards across intelligence products, practices, and processes. This role designs and administers surveys, analyzes quantitative and qualitative data, and develops visualizations and executive-level briefings to communicate findings to senior stakeholders. The position combines advanced data analytics, survey methodology, visualization, and intelligence analysis expertise to support assessments across IC elements, Combatant Commands, and other analytic organizations.

Responsibilities

  • Design, test, administer, and manage surveys across multiple platforms, recommending appropriate tools and methodologies.
  • Provide expertise on survey methodology, including neutrality, measurement accuracy, repeatability, respondent anonymity, accessibility, and tool selection.
  • Collect, consolidate, and analyze quantitative and qualitative survey data to identify trends, patterns, and key findings.
  • Analyze free-text responses and leverage AI/LLM tools to supplement and validate human review of qualitative feedback.
  • Develop data visualizations and analytical products using Tableau, Microsoft Excel, IBM SPSS, and related tools.
  • Troubleshoot technical and accessibility issues throughout survey development and administration.
  • Develop customized briefings and presentations incorporating aggregate and element-specific findings.
  • Present analytical findings and recommendations to senior management and key stakeholders.
  • Support assessments of intelligence products and analytic processes against applicable IC analytic standards.


Qualifications

  • Strong experience with data analysis, quantitative methodologies, and data visualization.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and experience with Tableau, IBM SPSS, or comparable analytical tools.
  • Experience translating complex datasets into clear visualizations, findings, and executive-level presentations.
  • Experience providing analysis or advisement related to intelligence products, analytic processes, or Intelligence Community missions.
  • Strong analytical, written, verbal, and presentation skills.

Desired:
  • Experience evaluating intelligence products against IC analytic standards.
  • Experience supporting IC elements, Combatant Commands, or other national security organizations.
  • Experience analyzing qualitative data and free-text responses.
  • Experience using AI/LLM tools to support qualitative analysis.
  • Advanced experience developing dashboards, visualizations, and senior-level analytic briefings.


Salary Range

USD $160,000.00 - USD $175,000.00 /Yr.

The Markon pay range for this position is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
