Full Job Description

As the Senior Consultant Smart Factory Software / MES, you will support sheet metal processing companies across North America in analyzing and optimizing customer requirements and business processes in modern manufacturing environments. Acting as a trusted advisor for TRUMPF software solutions, you will help translate production, organizational, and digitalization needs into practical system concepts and effective MES implementations.

Working at the intersection of software, manufacturing, and consulting, you will develop tailored concepts based on standard software, define requirements and functional specifications, and support the successful rollout of MES solutions. In close collaboration with customers and internal development teams, you will help shape efficient, future-ready smart factory solutions.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Analyze and model customer requirements and customer-oriented business processes at sheet metal processing companies across North America.
  •  Advise customers on TRUMPF software products and develop concepts for their optimal use within the respective manufacturing environment.
  • Map the modular structure of our software solutions while evaluating production processes, data flows, and organizational structures.
  • Create requirement and functional specifications, as well as high-level and detailed concepts, for the technical implementation of customer requirements based on our standard software.
  • Develop creative and innovative solutions and coordinate requested customizations with the development team.
  • Plan and support MES rollouts for US customers and deliver user training sessions and customer workshops.

Experience

  • 3-5 years of professional experience in customer-facing roles in MES, ERP, CAQ, BDE, PLM, or related fields; consulting experience is an asset. Knowledge of sheet metal processing is a plus.
  • Strong IT knowledge in manufacturing, quality management, Industry 4.0, or related areas.
  • A structured, goal- and results-oriented way of working, combined with creativity and a genuine interest in service-oriented tasks.
  • Excellent presentation and facilitation skills for customer meetings, workshops, and user training sessions.
  • Fluency in English; additional languages are welcome.
  • High willingness to travel within North America.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Manufacturing, Business Administration, Business Informatics and/or IT.

Pay Range: $ 94,191 to $127,435
