Your Opportunity

BDO Canada provides a comprehensive suite of services to support Financial Leaders across Canada. In this new role, as a Senior Consultant, and integrator of corporate governance, process transformation, performance management, technology implementation and business strategy, our Finance Effectiveness & Transformation professionals work with our clients' finance executives to optimize shareholder value and transform the finance function.

To be successful, you will:
  • Work collaboratively in teams to analyze client issues and interview key personnel.
  • Develop recommendations and presentations for client engagements.
  • Support teams in delivering value to clients across a wide variety of projects. Typical projects include: finance process design, system design and implementation, operating model design, amongst others.
  • Identify issues, define symptoms, and recommend solutions.
  • Prioritize objectives and contribute to project planning and status reporting.

Your Experience and Education:
  • Completed undergraduate degree with outstanding academic credentials.
  • An accounting designation (CPA) or relevant master's degree is preferred.
  • 5-7 years of relevant work experience in finance or consulting.
  • Deep expertise in financial management disciplines, such as financial process design, budgeting and planning, financial reporting, financial performance management, analytics and data modelling, and business case development.
  • Experience with, or interest in, acquiring knowledge of systems and technologies that support the finance function, such as Microsoft Dynamics AX/D365, SAP, Oracle, Blackline, Workiva, etc.
  • Strong commitment to professional client service excellence.
  • Excellent interpersonal relations and demonstrated ability to work effectively in teams.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to develop and present new ideas and conceptualize new approaches and solutions.
  • Proven analytical skills and systematic problem solving.
  • Strong knowledge of PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Canadian travel required; occasional international travel. Candidates must be able to enter the USA to work on client assignments.


The expected range of compensation for this role is $75,000 - $113,000 annually.
