SENIOR COMMERCIAL ACCOUNT MANAGER

We currently have an opening for a Senior Commercial Account Manager. If you enjoy working in a dynamic environment that rewards excellence and encourages entrepreneurial thinking, we would like to hear from you!

PRINCIPAL OBJECTIVES OF THE POSITION

As a Senior Commercial Account Manager, you will service Scott's large and more complex client accounts from beginning to end. This includes managing all renewal requirements, providing product and service information, and acting as a lead/commercial insurance subject matter expert.

You will also work closely with our production teams and provide guidance to Commercial Account Managers and Commercial Account Associates.

This will be an on-site position with the opportunity to move to a hybrid schedule (3 days in-office per week + 2 days remote) once training is complete.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead the renewal process and provide personalized support for assigned clients.
  • Bind and issue policies, endorsement and audits, and prepare premium/loss and modification analyses.
  • Determine appropriate marketing strategies for the placement of commercial business.
  • Prepare and process new proposals, renewal applications, binders, endorsements, certificates, account summaries, cancellations, audits, check policies, and lost policy releases.
  • Review and interpret coverage for new/renewal policies and triage claims.
  • Establish strong working relationships with clients, underwriters, and carriers.
  • Respond to client inquiries regarding insurance coverage and exposures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


POSITION QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
  • BA/BS degree (preferred) or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • 7+ years of commercial insurance account management experience.


  • Active Property & Casualty license or the ability to obtain a license within 90 days of employment.
  • Strong organization/communication skills - including the ability to develop relationships and effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience effectively managing multiple tasks and making decisions with limited oversight.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Suite (MS Office - Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Experience with Applied Epic (or similar agency management system) preferred.
  • Industry designations such as CPCU, CIC, CISR preferred.
