Senior Cloud Engineer,Information Technology [R0150849].ROLE of the POSITION- Provides full-time platform and cloud services (Public, Hosted, SaaS, PaaS), infrastructure engineering, and systems administration.
Responsibilities:- Infrastructure, engineering, and administration tasks on supported platforms and cloud services
- Designing, deploying, and managing scalable, secure, and resilient platform and cloud services within a hybrid environment
- Automating infrastructure provisioning
- Managing Infrastructure-as-Code templates
- Optimizing resource usage
- Ensuring compliance with security and governance standards
- Performing platform and services administration
- Tenant management, Version upgrades, Patching, and Performance tuning
- System monitoring, maintenance, growth planning, problem analysis, documentation, backups, and recovery.
- Supports modernization and operational transparency initiatives, requiring effective collaboration with university faculty, business teams, and vendors.
Customer Service Expectations: This position is responsible for maintaining a customer-focused approach in all duties, ensuring professional, timely, and effective interactions with internal and external stakeholders. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS- Bachelor's Degree
- Bachelor's degree must be from an accredited college or university as recognized by the United States Department of Education and/or the Council on Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA)
- In lieu of a bachelor's degree, applicants may qualify with four additional years of relevant experience, or with an associate's degree plus two additional years of relevant experience.
- Seven (7) years of related professional experience in systems engineering.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- Experience working in a higher education environment
- 10 years or more related professional experience in systems engineering
