Senior Chemist

Qualifications

• BS, MS, or PhD in General Sciences required
• Minimum 7 years in thermoplastics/thermosets within automotive OEM market
• Preferred experience in Hotmelt Chemistry
• Strong oral communication and technical writing skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience with DOE, Design FMEA, and quality programs
• Demonstrated success in introducing new chemical concepts to formulations

Responsibilities

• Transfer new products and technologies to production
• Evaluate competitive technologies and new raw materials
• Manage projects from proposal to product release
• Conduct feasibility studies per PCP process
• Perform systematic experimentation using DOE and statistical methods
• Implement quality tools per IATF and Six Sigma
• Lead customer interactions and negotiate testing criteria
