Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Senior Buyer – Finished Components to join our global procurement team. This role is responsible for developing sourcing strategies, managing supplier relationships, leading commercial negotiations, and driving cost, quality, and delivery performance across a portfolio of production components.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in strategic sourcing, supplier development, contract negotiation, and cross-functional collaboration, with experience supporting new product launches through series production in a global manufacturing environment.

What you will be doing

• Lead supplier sourcing, evaluation, selection, and award decisions for production and aftermarket components.
• Negotiate pricing, contracts, and commercial agreements to achieve cost, quality, delivery, and supply objectives.
• Manage the end-to-end procurement process from sourcing through production launch.
• Perform cost analysis and identify cost reduction opportunities through supplier and process optimization.

Basic Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Business, Finance, Engineering, or a related field (Master's preferred).
• Minimum 7 years of experience in strategic sourcing or procurement within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong commercial acumen with experience in supplier negotiations, contract management, and cost reduction initiatives.

Preferred Requirements:

• Master's degree preferred in supply chain, Business, Finance, Engineering, or a related field.
• Specific knowledge of Off-Highway Diesel Engine commodities, materials and products.
• Several years of professional experience in purchasing with focus on international procurement.
• German language skills

While performing tasks for this position, the employee is regularly requested to perform work on a computer inside of the work environment. Also, the employee will occasionally be required to work in environmental conditions where there are fumes and dust. Please note, the conditions can be hazardous.
