Full Job Description
Role Summary

The Senior Business Solutions Specialist is the trusted day-to-day partner for a dedicated portfolio of business units spanning US and international markets, owning the full solution lifecycle from discovery through delivery, while mentoring the broader NYC Specialist team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for your assigned business units
  • Run discovery, scoping, and requirements-gathering sessions independently
  • Build and maintain business systems, automations, and workflows supporting label, marketing, and release operations
  • Write specs and requirements for integrations with internal Sony Music systems
  • Lead data migrations for assigned business units
  • Test solutions with end users and incorporate feedback quickly
  • Share best practices with the broader team, contributing repeatable patterns and playbook content to support other junior Specialists
  • Escalate architecture/platform-level questions to the Architect
  • Identify opportunities to centralize and standardize workflows across assigned BUs
  • Lead enablement and change-adoption efforts within your portfolio - training business users to use AI tools (e.g., Claude Cowork) to solve their own recurring problems, not just handing off finished solutions
  • Define success metrics for initiatives in your portfolio and use adoption/usage data to evaluate outcomes and guide iteration
  • Ensure initiatives align with governance, privacy, security, and compliance requirements, partnering with the Architect and relevant stakeholders (Legal, InfoSec) as needed
    Required Qualifications
  • 5-8+ years in business/systems analysis, solutions consulting, or enterprise no-code/low-code platform administration, with the judgment to build solutions that are secure, scalable, and well-governed
  • Demonstrated ability to run point independently with senior business stakeholders
  • Strong requirements-gathering, process-mapping, and documentation skills
  • Experience with data migrations
  • Comfortable managing multiple concurrent projects and business units
  • Extensive A.I. experience using tools such as Claude Cowork, ChatGPT Work, Google Gemini
  • Basic scripting, SQL, or automation-logic familiarity
  • Tool-agnostic and adaptable to learning new platforms as workflows expand
  • Experience leading change adoption or user enablement efforts within a business function
  • Comfortable defining measures of success and using data to evaluate outcomes


Nice to Have (not required)
  • Music industry experience; media & entertainment adjacency (rights, royalties, metadata) a plus
  • Airtable certification or deep hands-on Airtable expertise (our current core platform)

New York Pay Range

$125,000-$140,000 USD

The anticipated annual base salary does not include any other compensation components or other benefits that an individual may be eligible for. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
