Salary for the candidate will be determined taking into consideration a number of factors including: experience, skills, qualifications, anticipated contribution to role, internal equity, etc. The salary range presented above is based on a 35-hour workweek and would represent a majority of different candidate profiles. About the role
We're looking for a Senior Business Analyst, OPL to join our growing team.
What you'll do here:
- Cost allocation and financial controls
- Partner with regional Finance teams to ensure the accuracy of month-end and budget allocations.
- Validate allocations, maintain a strong internal control environment, and keep complete documentation (processes, controls, supporting evidence).
- Support the implementation of new or revised accounting standards and serve as a key contact for internal and external auditors.
- Tools, data, and operational efficiency
- Maintain and enhance the Oracle EPCM cost allocation tool (including continuous process improvement).
- Ensure smooth and reliable data flow throughout the budgeting cycle between Finance, Actuarial, and stakeholders.
- Business analysis and stakeholder engagement
- Act as a bridge between business teams, IT, end users, and leadership.
- Gather, structure, and document requirements (interviews, workshops), and translate them into clear, actionable recommendations.
- Facilitate cross-functional workshops and support alignment across business, technology, and support teams.
- Projects, change, and quality assurance
- Plan and coordinate initiatives related to organizational changes (impacts, communications, adoption).
- Support Quality Assurance (QA): test preparation, planning, and execution.
What you bring to the table:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration (or equivalent); CPA preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in functional analysis and process improvement.
- Advanced Excel and the Oracle ecosystem (EPCM, EPBCS, Smart View).
- Knowledge of the insurance industry (an asset).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; solution-oriented mindset.
- Autonomous, proactive, and a strong team player.
- Excellent time and priority management; ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Very strong verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills.
- No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.
- For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with English-speaking colleagues across the country
