Amerisure is currently recruiting for a
Senior Business Analyst that can do a 3-day hybrid approach to support our Farmington Hills Headquarters. The role will require experience with Guidewire to support our Underwriting side of the house. The ideal candidate will also possess the following skill set.
Summary StatementCollaborates with business to understand complex project goals and objectives as related to corporate strategy. Translates business requirements into functional specifications that enables information technology to design and implement desired solution.
Essential Tasks/Major Duties- Lead, direct and coordinate requirement gathering sessions for medium to large projects.
- Define and document business and system requirements per information technology guidelines.
- Complete work requests in order to maintain service level objectives in accordance with information technology department goals and guidelines.
- Support business units by investigating operations-related opportunities and recommend solutions.
- Validate and verify requirements tracing to design and test documentation.
- Develop and maintain understanding of customer workflows and business needs to support.
- Deliver precise functional specifications to include functional hierarchy, workflow, business rules, interface design and definitions, outstanding issues, data analysis, and data mapping to clients and development staff.
- Be responsible for direct interaction with clients including, but not limited to, eliciting comprehensive business requirements and use cases and recommending appropriate solutions
- Creation of User stories aligned to accurately documented expected Outcomes
- Creation of User Interface specifications that align to the expectations of the business customer
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities- Bachelor's degree in related field.
- 8-10 years progressive business analysis experience supporting medium to large size projects.
- Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) certification preferred.
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with Microsoft TFS
- Ability to document Business Process accurately and aligned to the expectations of the business partner
- Demonstrated successful ability to build positive partnerships and work collaboratively with cross-functional business teams.
- Strong Insurance Industry acumen as it relates to Policy, Claims and Billing
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to deal with ambiguity
- Ability to lead discussions, make presentations and deliver technical results to a non-technical audience.
- Comprehension of Agile and Waterfall Methodologies
