Full Job Description
The Senior Branch Manager is responsible for the sales, service, rental, and parts departments for the Branch locations assigned to the Branch Manager. This includes management of workflow, cross-departmental execution of duties, facilities, assets, implementation of the branch's operating processes and procedures, and fostering the Energy Systems customer-focused culture. KPIs to include but not limited to customer satisfaction, territory profitability, revenue growth, operational efficiency as well as customer and employee retention.

Major Responsibilities

PRODUCT
  • Drive customer service and satisfaction for ES Customers
  • Management and ownership of P&L for service sales, service, rental, and parts operations for branch locations within the assigned territory.
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve regional targets and drive revenue growth.
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of generator system technology, including competitor products and strategies.
  • Work with VP/GM on annual operational strategy initiatives to ensure they are completed on time and within budget.
  • Ensure staff follow EH&S regulations, while fostering a culture of overall safety first

PEOPLE
  • Foster collaborative, customer-focused and team culture and drive accountability through performance management.
  • Recruit, train, and develop high-performing teams across sales and service functions.
  • Management of office personnel, facilities, rental fleet, and associated assets.
  • Participate in the operational leadership development program with the VP/GM by providing guidance, mentorship coaching, and training of Service Managers at each Branch location assigned by the VP/GM
  • Lead selected leadership training relating to cultural development, process (ISO) documentation, and strategy initiatives across the enterprise.

PROCESS
  • Monitor sales metrics, operational KPIs, and report on performance against targets; ensuring revenue and operating income are met
  • Set operational objectives that align with company strategy.
  • Ensure work orders are completed, with proper documentation, on time, and within quoted amounts and timeframes
  • Oversee ERP and CRM system usage to ensure documentation and reporting is complete and accurate.
  • Support the development of processes and procedures that align with the financial and operational goals of the company
  • Ensure the operational teams are continuously operating following the written process documents and providing feedback for continuous improvement.
Minimum Job Requirements

Education

Bachelor's degree, or equivalent in associated field

Certification / License

Work Experience
  • 5+ years of operations management experience
  • 5+ years of management experience with direct reports

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
  • Computer literacy is required, including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (i.e., Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Advanced knowledge of power generation parts and service industry including mechanical and technical aptitude
  • Incorporate time management skills by prioritizing work assignments
  • Proven interpersonal skills, including being a team player to create synergy within the company
  • Must be able to operate a forklift vehicle
  • Must be able to handle high-pressure situations
  • Must have basic math skills for computing percentages, multipliers, sales tax, and totals on parts orders

  • Experience as a Technical Supervisor in an Industrial application/setting

  • Working knowledge of business enterprise systems (ERP)
  • Proficiency in schematic and service documentation
  • Proficiency in financial oversite and understanding including budgets, forecasting models and general ledgers


Compensation: Energy Systems is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. This compensation will ultimately be in line with the location in which the position is filled. Target Comp is $136,000-$170,000. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate's relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. This role is eligible for variable compensation including short term and long-term incentives.

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls. Specific conditions of this job are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
