Position Description: CGI is seeking a Senior Java Full Stack Developer with 5+ years of experience building enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, Angular, Python, and AWS. This role leads the development and delivery of full stack services supporting financial services applications, with a focus on security, reliability, performance, and maintainability.
This position is required in one of the following locations: Lafayette, LA, Knoxville, TN, or Birmingham, AL
Your future duties and responsibilities: Responsibilities include developing microservices and APIs, building Angular features, implementing Python services and data processing workflows, and integrating AWS services. The developer will guide technical decisions, strengthen automated testing and CI/CD practices, troubleshoot complex production issues, review code, and mentor team members.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role: . 5+ years of software development experience, with strong Java, Spring Boot, microservices, and REST API skills, including concurrency, security, transaction handling, and resilience.
. Hands on Angular experience covering components, RxJS, state management, routing, API integration, and application performance.
. Practical Python and SQL experience supporting APIs, services, or data processing, with familiarity using PySpark, Pandas, or Boto3.
. Strong AWS application development experience using services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, API Gateway, SNS, SQS, IAM, ECS, and CloudWatch.
. Ability to deliver secure, scalable applications, troubleshoot issues across components, conduct code reviews, and mentor developers.
. Experience with automated testing and CI/CD; familiarity with Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps is preferred.
. Experience with Playwright or LambdaTest for UI automation, regression testing, and CI/CD integration is preferred.
Educational Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $95,700.00 $123,200.00.
