Full Job Description
ABOUT THE POSITION:

As a member of the Foundations' Strategy & Impact team, the Senior Associate, Insights & Impact conducts research and analysis that help the Foundations strengthen grantmaking strategy, decision-making, and organizational learning. This role leads discrete analyses and workstreams, synthesizes findings into clear implications, and translates evidence into insights that shape the Foundations' grantmaking and impact.

Strategy, Research & Analysis (35%)
  • Lead quantitative and qualitative research and analysis, including data analytics, secondary research, interviews, and synthesis of findings, to:
    • Develop a deep understanding of a sector, region, organization, or issue, including trends, best practices, opportunities, and gaps
    • Assess the philanthropic and/or nonprofit landscape for a region or issue
    • Identify broader philanthropic and nonprofit trends and translate them into implications for the Foundations' work
    • Contribute to projects that advance best practices in grantmaking, such as tools for program staff and organization-wide learning efforts.

Strategic Deliverables & Executive Communication (35%)
  • Translate findings into strategic insights and potential paths forward for program colleagues and senior leaders.
  • Develop clear, concise, and well-structured work products, including presentations, memos, and data visualizations and interactive reports for leadership and Board audiences.

Project & Stakeholder Management (30%)
  • Help scope, structure, and manage research and analysis that inform grantmaking strategies and decisions.
  • Build strong working relationships with program team members and other colleagues through clear communication and facilitation of meetings or working sessions

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education
  • Bachelor's degree required in a relevant field (e.g., mathematics, economics)

Experience
  • 3+ years of related work experience; experience in management consulting preferred.
  • Experience in nonprofit organizations, philanthropy, research, analytics, or strategy-related work valued but not required.
  • Demonstrated experience conducting qualitative and quantitative analysis and developing clear written or presentation materials.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

The Fidelity Foundations offers a competitive salary commensurate with experience, an annual performance-based bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package.

The base salary range for this position is $98,000 - $145,000 per year.

Placement in the range will vary based on a variety of factors such as job responsibilities & scope, special skills, education, special certifications, candidate's relevant experience, and other factors.

Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Employees are eligible for an annual discretionary performance bonus in addition to their base pay.
