Full Job Description
KPMG is currently seeking a Senior Associate to join our Federal Advisory practice.
Responsibilities:
- Review and evaluate financial risk, financial reporting, and accounting transactions processes including controls related to federal entities
- Review and evaluate federal financial business processes and financial statements
- Research, interpret, review the impact of Federal standards, policies, and regulations on financial operations
- Review findings, perform root-cause analysis, develop corrective actions, link like-kind issues, create roadmaps, identify dependencies / risks
- Lead walkthroughs, document current & future state of financial management functions, execute change management efforts related to finance transformation, support development of financial strategies, and create / execute training materials
- Develop tools and execute process mapping, visualization, and data analysis activities
Qualifications:
- A minimum of three years of federal financial management / transformation experience
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university; CPA / CGFM / CDFM certifications preferred
- Experience / knowledge is the areas of Federal financial management & controls, federal financial reporting, federal budgeting, financial audits, or audit readiness
- Experience with FASAB, GAO, FAR, FMR, CFR, Treasury, and OMB
- Ability to travel as required to support firm engagements
- Applicant must possess a U.S. Government Secret clearance
