Full Job Description
Eaton's ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking a Senior Applications Engineer - Aftermarket business. The position will be based at our facility in Fayetteville, NC. We are offering relocation assitance for candidates who reside within the U.S.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $86000 - $115,000.00 a year.

What you'll do:

The primary function of the Senior Applications Engineer is to provide applications engineering for product line support. This includes, but is not limited to: engineering designs, providing direction to application engineers and designers, and collaborating with direct customers/field sales.
  • Emphasis on working with electrical, electro-mechanical, programmable logic controllers, and solid-state controls in motor control applications and electrical distribution systems.
  • Maintain familiarity with communications protocols, variable speed drives and solid-state starters in order to maintain design standards.
  • Manage large projects to completion within deadlines with little or no supervision.
  • Interpret customer one-line diagrams and specifications to determine order requirements and apply Eaton designs to meet customer's expectations.
  • Perform standard engineering assignments often representing a significant portion of a larger project for Eaton. Coordinate with other Eaton product lines and business units as needed to ensure quality of products to end customer
  • Set-up and programming of PLC, HMI/MMI applications and electronic relays.
  • Generate electrical schematics and mechanical layouts based on information received from Sales and Marketing


Qualifications:

Basic REQUIRED Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of one (1) year of engineering experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment (internships and co-ops count towards this experience)

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution
  • Previous experience and/or knowledge of electrical distribution equipment
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and other engineering and design software programs


Skills:

  • Working knowledge of N.E.C., IEEE, UL, and various local electric codes.
  • Ability to interpret both customer specifications and electrical and mechanical drawings.
  • Utilization of substantial motor control product knowledge for communication with field sales, customers, engineering, and manufacturing personnel
