Full Job Description
Job Description

The successful candidate will demonstrate: the ability to build and maintain internal and external partnerships, superb people and communication skills, written and oral presentation skills that are persuasive, accurate, and tailored to the specific audience in a professional tone, the ability to operate in a cross-cultural and complex matrix environment, and, most importantly, the ability to lead without direct authority.

Responsibilities
  • Directs the development, coordination, and administration of vendor education and training initiatives. Partners with subject-matter experts (SMEs) to maintain and deliver FSS M&E's comprehensive vendor training program and supports the delivery of moderately complex AbbVie and FSS M&E policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
  • Maintains accurate and audit-ready training master data, including vendor training assignments, completion records, and supporting documentation. Consults regularly with Vendor Managers and leadership to evaluate training effectiveness and implement structured learning opportunities to address identified needs.
  • Supports the timely fulfillment of audit and compliance requests by gathering, validating, and maintaining required training and vendor oversight documentation.
  • Executes and maintains vendor monitoring plans to assess compliance with Master Service Agreements (MSAs), applicable policies and procedures, and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) at both the team and individual levels. Monitoring may include compliance, budget management, customer service, quality, and adherence to key milestones.
  • Proactively partners with Vendor Managers and leadership to develop, maintain, and communicate vendor performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) based on established criteria for monthly, quarterly, and annual business reviews.
  • Assesses vendor performance trends, identifies potential risks and areas requiring remediation, and supports the investigation and resolution of performance issues. Helps develop and implement sustainable solutions to ensure required performance, compliance, quality, and service standards are consistently achieved.
  • Conducts routine reviews of AbbVie and FSS M&E policies and procedures and reviews individual vendor standard operating procedures (SOPs) against AbbVie training materials at least annually to confirm alignment with applicable policies, processes, and requirements.
  • Oversees the FSS M&E travel desk by providing guidance and coaching to the external supplier, supporting adherence to applicable policies and procedures, helping resolve operational issues, and facilitating compliant financial commitments.
  • Collaborates cross-functionally with OEC, FCT, Transparency, Legal, Procurement, and other stakeholders to develop materials, coordinate initiatives, and deliver projects that support vendor governance, compliance, training, and operational effectiveness.
  • Operates independently within well-defined expectations, taking accountability for assigned responsibilities, meeting established deadlines, maintaining accurate records, escalating risks appropriately, and following through on commitments and deliverables.

Qualifications
  • BA/BS degree
  • 4-5 years' work experience in vendor management, meetings & events, training, compliance, or equivalent work experience, with exposure to business functions such as compliance, audit, legal, regulatory affairs, or finance.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with cross-functional stakeholders, fostering effective communication, alignment, and partnership while taking accountability for commitments, coordinating priorities, and delivering successful outcomes.
  • Demonstrated consistent attention to detail and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to analyze information, identify issues, and make sound, well-informed decisions.
  • Demonstrated exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly, collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders, and tailor messages to different audiences.
  • Demonstrated experience in project management with the ability to manage multiple activities, competing priorities, and cross-functional deliverables while meeting tight deadlines, maintaining accurate documentation, and ensuring adherence to applicable policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Strong data entry skills and ability to use MS Office products & Smart Sheet

Preferred: Experience supporting onboarding, including coordinating training activities, maintaining completion records, communicating requirements, and helping ensure smooth and effective transitions.
