Dream is looking for a Senior Analyst, Asset & Portfolio ManagementDream Impact Trust is currently looking for a Senior Analyst to assist with asset management and portfolio management responsibilities. The Senior Analyst will report to the Associate Director, Portfolio Management.
Our ideal candidate possesses a strong financial modeling/technical background, real estate and business writing. Additionally, we are looking for someone who has strong attention to detail, can synthesize large amounts of information and is well organized. This role offers room for growth and increasing responsibility over time.
What will you do?Below are some of the primary responsibilities you will be taking on in this role:
- Be involved in project analysis, asset management and other investment and portfolio initiatives.
- Support the process for updating quarterly IFRS asset valuations for the investment portfolio and annual 3rd party appraisals.
- Participate in operational update meetings, track operational activities, and conduct industry research.
- Act as an information and analysis resource to all levels of the organization, including senior management and senior accounting personnel.
- Co-ordinate with partners on investments, analyze pro formas relating to income properties and development projects and perform variance analysis as needed.
- Track/monitor investment performance and prepare reporting materials for management.
- Assist with the preparation of quarterly board meeting materials, investor presentations, analysis related to the corporate model and the annual business plan.
What type of experience should you have?These are some of the things we would like you to bring to the table:
- 2-4 years of applicable work experience: asset management, valuations, corporate finance/transaction advisory, or financial analysis.
- Bachelor's degree in business, economics, or real estate. Enrolled in or completed the following programs is considered a plus (CFA/CBV/CPA).
- Strong technical skills with a focus on financial analysis and data manipulation using Excel.
- An assertive self-starter with the ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and organization is required.
- Superior interpersonal and oral/ written communication skills including the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
This is a regular, full-time position with a base salary range of $85,000-$95,000. Compensation is determined based on several factors, including relevant experience, total years of experience, industry experience, education, and professional designations. We recognize that exceptional talent doesn't always fit neatly into a bracket. Final compensation will be tailored to your specific experience, skills and the unique value you bring to the table. If your qualifications exceed the scope of this role, we may be open to adjusting the mandate - and the salary - to reflect that expertise.
