JOB BRIEF (PURPOSE)

The Analyst will provide support to the Regional Manager and Multifamily Mortgage Bankers in reviewing and processing permanent loan requests.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

This position works closely with Mortgage Bankers to provide loan origination and deal structuring support for Relationship Managers, correspondent lenders and mortgage bankers within a defined territory.  Develop detailed working knowledge of the underwriting parameters and requirements of all permanent lending products.  Model loan submissions in order to determine the viability of loan requests.  The function will include direct communication with borrowers, Relationship Managers and mortgage brokers.  Work with Multifamily Mortgage Bankers to determine loan sizing and pricing under all permanent lending programs. Draft loan applications.  Complete site inspections.   Prepare loan submissions to third party capital lending sources. Assist the Mortgage Bankers in shepherding loans through the due diligence and closing process.

MARGINAL OR PERIPHERAL FUNCTIONS

The Analyst will provide industry, market, business, and quantitative analysis support. The Analyst is expected to have a continuous improvement mindset and would be empowered to recommend efficiencies for change. The Analyst will work on special projects as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree required in finance, accounting, business administration, economics, or Real Estate.
  • 2+ years of experience in finance, accounting, real estate, investment banking or consulting including   Real Estate Finance for the Production Analyst position.  4+ years of highly relevant experience for the Senior Production Analyst position.        
  • Demonstrated high proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; experience with complex spreadsheets.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills and the ability to interpret financial data from multiple computer systems.
  • Ability to synthesize and analyze large amounts of data and communicate relevant findings.
  • Demonstrated analytical approach to problem solving with a high attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency.
  • Proactive and goal-oriented, with the ability to work independently.
  • Strong organizational skills – ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Consultative, service-oriented mindset.
  • Outstanding oral communication, written, and presentation skills.
  • The Analyst is expected to work in a KeyBank office 5 days per week. 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proficiency in business intelligence tools a plus
  • Previous working experience in the commercial real estate permanent lending industry specific experience working with CMBS, Life Insurance lending programs, Fannie Mae DUS, Freddie Mac Program, FHA a plus.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $71,000.00 - $125,000.00 annually. Placement within the pay range may differ based upon various factors, including but not limited to skills, experience and geographic location. Compensation for this role also includes eligibility for incentive compensation which may include production, commission, and/or discretionary incentives.
