A career as a Senior Reconciliation Analyst within the Reconciliations - Capital Markets Operations team at National Bank means acting as a specialist in reconciliations, payments investigations, and operational controls. In this role, you will have a direct impact on operational efficiency, data integrity, and risk management through your expertise in Capital Markets operations, payment processes, and transactional analysis.
Your Role- Ensure the integrity and accuracy of transactional and accounting data by performing reconciliations for Capital Markets, Wealth Management, and Payments activities.
- Analyze discrepancies, document findings, and coordinate their resolution through to complete remediation or settlement.
- Manage Nostro account reconciliations, payment investigations, and payment exceptions while collaborating with internal and external partners.
- Develop a strong understanding of end-to-end processes, operational workflows, systems, and key stakeholders to proactively identify and resolve issues.
- Apply operational controls and monitoring practices to ensure the completeness, reliability, and quality of daily activities.
- Contribute to the implementation and continuous improvement of processes, technologies, regulatory requirements, systems, and operating procedures.

You will report to the Director, Reconciliations - Capital Markets Operations. Prerequisites- College diploma with 6-7 years of relevant experience, or a bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field with 3-4 years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong knowledge of Capital Markets operations, operational processes, and business interdependencies.
- Experience in reconciliations, payments, Nostro accounts, investigations, banking operations, treasury activities, or correspondent banking processes.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, macros, and automation functionalities.
- Knowledge of systems such as Accurate, SWIFT, MIDAS, Bankmate, Murex, ISM (T80), CDS, DTC, APS, TBT, Microsoft Office, and Access.
- Experience working in a complex operational environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.
