OverviewAs the Aegis Combat Systems Data Collection Specialist working for Hepburn and Sons LLC, you will maintain technical and engineering support in the systems engineering, integration, development, maintenance, documentation, and operation of Training Tools.
Responsibilities- Provide Schedules, Engineering, and Readiness Support to SCSTC and waterfront Detachments for AEGIS, Ship Self Defense Systems (SSDS), and Atalanta Weapon Systems (AtWS) baselines (B/Ls)
- Provide operational mission support for real world Radar Data Collection (RDC) events
- Collaborate with other agencies and NSWC laboratories to coordinate the data transfer of raw data and the analysis of collected radar data
- Support and attend appropriate stakeholder meetings, conferences, seminars related to RDC operations and respond to stakeholder questions concerning mission capabilities
- Support SCSTC with Systems Software Orientation of AEGIS ship crews and battle staffs in Non-Tactical Data Collection (NTDC) operation, Technical Data Collection (TDC) operations, Coherent Data Collection Systems (CDCS) installation and operations, and other AEGIS Data Collection matters and activities
- Provide operational mission support for the radar data collection missions
- Provide operational and technical support for real word data collection events
- Collaborate with other agencies and Naval Surface Warfare Centers to coordinate the data transfer of raw data and the analysis of collected radar data
- Periodically accompany members of the NSWC Dahlgren RDC Team to brief post mission analysis to Fleet Commands, Theater and Combatant Commanders (COCOMs) as well as the shipboard level on special data collection requirements
- Support the SCSTC with developing documentation and training AEGIS ship crews and battle staffs in execution of data collection missions using Aegis Ballistic Missile Defense, TDC, Doppler Data Collection System (DDCS), Enhanced Collection System (ECS), Enhanced CDCS (ECDCS), and CDCS
QualificationsEducation and Experience:
- High School Diploma
- Four (4) years Combat System shipboard experience including two (2) deployments as a senior Combat Information Center (CIC) watch stander onboard a CG or DDG
- Additionally, at least four (4) years as a Combat System Instructor
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Demonstrated progressive experience in supervising the planning, organizing, review and implementation of Radar Data Collection Operational needs and requirements
- Demonstrated ability to develop Standard Operational procedures, training materials, and operational materials
- Demonstrated ability to operate the ACS in multiple configurations to validate radar data collection missions
- Top Secret Clearance
Salary range (subject to experience and qualifications)- $110,000-$140,000
