  • Champion the implementation of process control plans for NPIs with manufacturing teams.

  • Engage with customers to address their quality-related needs and provide technical updates.
  • Facilitate Root Cause Analyses (RCAs) and 8D problem-solving processes for warranty claims.

Full Job Description

Join our team as aSenior Advanced Manufacturing Quality Engineer and play a lead role in ensuring the manufacturing quality and reliability of our new product introductions. Your expertise in equipment design and manufacturing, fabrication, and assembly processes overall APQP activities and overall APQP activities will contribute to maintaining our high standards of safety, integrity, and performance. This role also emphasizes strong collaboration with cross-functional teams and direct engagement with customers to uphold and enhance product quality.

What You Will Do

  • Act as an SME for Quality APQP activities and lead in the implementation of them in NPI projects

  • Collaborate closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Plant Quality to Facilitate the development and implementation of Quality Requirements Documents, Project Plan & Quality Stage Gate Deliverables, Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEAs), Process Failure Mode and Effects, Analysis (PFMEAs), Control Plans, FRACAS/ ELC to ensure robust design and manufacturing processes.

  • Maintain QRD deliverables throughout the stage gate process

  • Champion the implementation of process control plan for NPIs by working with manufacturing and plant quality team.

  • Monitor and follow up on recommended actions from FMEAs as well as overall NPI project deliverables for fidelity to RCLP 96 JCI99s stage-gate process.

  • Interact with customers to address their needs and concerns while providing technical guidance and updates on quality initiatives.

  • Act as the voice of the customer within internal discussions, ensuring their requirements and expectations are met effectively.

  • As required, assist or lead Root Cause Analyses (RCAs) and 8D problem-solving processes related to warranty claims or commissioning issues.

  • As required, participate in plant and/or process improvement workshops or Kaizens

Qualifications

  • Bachelor99s degree in engineering or related technical field.

  • Minimum of 10 years of proven experience in direct manufacturing and plant quality in an equipment production setting.

  • Experience with quality tools but not limited to gauge analysis, development of detection systems, measurement systems etc.

  • Experience with facilitating APQP, DFMEAs, PFMEAs, and Control Plans in a manufacturing or product development environment.

  • Experience with introducing and establishing NPI Quality processes

  • Experience in interacting with customers and acting as their representative within internal teams.

  • Experience with a stage-gate product development process.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on quality improvement.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, with a track record of working effectively in cross-functional teams.

Preferred

  • Project management (PMP), Lean/Six Sigma training, Green or Black Belt.

  • Familiarity with reading 2D part drawings and understanding GD&T, CAD software.

  • Experience with ISO 9001
