Full Job Description
Leads an accounting or transactional process (Accounting, A/P, A/R, Credit, or Payroll) on a global basis, with duties including transaction management, reconciliation, and issue resolution. Thrives in a global matrix environment with little supervision, and is known throughout the organization as the Subject Matter Expert for the specific accounting processes that he/she supports. Guides teams in identifying and implementing improvement opportunities.

The Senior Accountant will assist in building a standardized, high-quality accounting and reporting process within the Finance function by bringing an analytical mindset and technical expertise to the team. Additionally, this role will champion digital enablement across the team by embedding advanced technology, automation, and AI driven solutions into daily workflows. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for identifying opportunities to streamline processes via developing an end-to-end understanding of specific accounting processes, owning the preparation and/or first level review of their financial areas.

What You Will Do
  • Embed automation, AI tools, and digital solutions into core accounting and reporting processes to drive efficiency and accuracy.
  • Independently conduct the analysis of complex financial data, particularly within the inventory, fixed asset and leases cycles, providing solutions that drive strategic decision-making and optimize financial performance across the organization.
  • Oversee the routine subledger maintenance within the fixed asset and leasing cycles, including ensuring that all activities commence timely and accurately.
  • Participate in the preparation and review of month-end closing processes, including recording journal entries, performing account reconciliations, investigating account variances from forecast or prior periods, and reviewing junior and mid-level analyst activities.
  • Balance numerous priorities simultaneously, including proactively progressing ad-hoc projects, ensuring that issues are identified, communicated, and addressed timely, and that all key deadlines are met.
  • Leverage available resources to complete tasks efficiently while maintaining strong attention to detail and organized workflow, including developing a deep expertise in ERP modules, SmartView, Excel automation, and AI supported analytics.
  • Ensure adherence to accounting standards and regulations by conducting self-audits, strengthening internal controls, implementing corrective actions, and developing policies to mitigate risks.
  • Conduct cross-functional collaboration to solve problems and enhance accounting processes, driving initiatives that improve operational efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Partner with Global Supply Chain and Financial Planning & Analysis groups on owned topical areas including inventory variance analysis, capital expenditure spend, and forecasting compilation and review.
  • Mentor and serve as a point of escalation for junior and mid-level analysts in a hybrid environment, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, technology adoption and troubleshooting and ensuring the team is equipped with advanced financial analysis skills.
  • Prepare documentation of accounting processes, including end-to-end process flows, related accounting policies, and standard operating procedures, and provides recommendations for technology enabled improvements that reduce manual effort and accelerate cycle times.
  • Support internal and external audits, including providing requested support and working directly with audit teams.


What You Will Bring
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in business or accounting required.
  • Certification: CPA required.
  • Job Experience: 4-6 years in accounting role. Public accounting and/or manufacturing industry experience preferred.
  • Accounting Experience: Familiarity with ASC 842 preferred.
  • Systems: Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Power BI and/or Tableau, Python or SQL. Oracle experience preferred (FCCS, ARCS, Fusion). ERP implementation experience a plus.
  • Skills: Strong analytical, time management, prioritization, and organization skills. Experience with AI, automation, and data-driven decision-making a plus.
  • Language: Spanish proficiency a plus.

Compensation: The expected annual base salary range for this role is $85,000 - $105,000. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
