We have a Senior Accountant position opening at one of our corporate offices in Fontana:SALARY RANGE: $95,000 - $110,000/yearPosition Summary:
Senior Accountant with 5-7 years General Accounting experience to assist in month-end close for multiple entities and divisions while working in a fast-paced and high-volume Corporate Accounting department.
Essential Duties:- Prepare monthly A/R and cash reconciliations for multiple operating divisions
- Prepare general ledger schedules and journal entries
- Maintain monthly Amortization schedules
- Analyze and reconcile general ledger accounts with large volume of transactions
- Prepare monthly financial statements with supplemental trend schedules
- Ability to analyze monthly variances and provide detailed explanation and support schedules
- Assist in preparation of year-end audit schedules and audit requests
- Collaborates with AP, Ops Accounting and Finance department team members
- Other tasks and special projects as directed by manager
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:- Minimum 5 years accounting experience
- Bachelor's Degree required.
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles
- Strong PC skills with emphasis in Excel
- Excellent analytical skills including data analysis tools
- Attention to detail, good organization and time management
- Excellent communication skills and ability to interface with all levels within the company
- Team player, willing to assist with special projects and ability to work well with others
PHYSICAL:- Standing and/or sitting for prolonged periods of time - up to 8 hours or more per day
- Manual dexterity and vision sufficient to operate a personal computer for long periods of time without experiencing abnormal hand, wrist or eye strain
- Hearing sufficient to understand conversations, both in person and on the telephone
WORKING CONDITIONS:- Work area is primarily in an office setting and may have fluorescent lighting and air conditioning.
