Full Job Description
Tixr is transforming the ticketing industry with a powerful, modern commerce platform built for large-scale events and passionate fans. We empower event creators with the tools to sell tickets, merchandise, and experiences-all in one seamless ecosystem.

Headquartered in Santa Monica, we foster a culture of ownership, curiosity, and execution. We move fast, think big, and continuously improve how we operate. We don't just maintain processes-we build and optimize them to scale.

The Role

We're seeking a forward-thinking Senior Accountant who operates like an internal consultant-someone who thrives in the details but naturally steps back to improve systems, workflows, and outcomes.

This is not a "just close the books" role. You'll own core accounting and reporting responsibilities while leading initiatives that modernize and scale our finance function. You'll partner closely with cross-functional teams and senior leadership, ensuring our financial data is accurate, actionable, and built to support growth.

If you see broken processes and instinctively want to redesign them, this role is for you.

What You'll Own
Core Accounting & Financial Reporting
  • Prepare and support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP
  • Own balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries, and detailed flux analysis
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of revenue recognition and payout reporting
  • Maintain and enhance internal reporting packages for senior leadership
  • Strengthen internal controls and documentation across accounting processes
  • Support audit readiness and financial review processes as needed
Revenue, Client & Operational Reporting
  • Compile client, revenue, and payout reporting with a high degree of accuracy and consistency
  • Reconcile data across systems (payments platforms, accounting systems, internal tools)
  • Investigate discrepancies and proactively resolve reporting issues
  • Improve visibility into key financial and operational metrics
Operations, Systems & Special Projects
  • Identify inefficiencies in accounting and finance workflows and proactively redesign them
  • Lead process improvement initiatives, including automation, system integrations, and documentation
  • Leverage AI and modern tools to enhance speed, accuracy, and decision-making
  • Build scalable, repeatable processes that support rapid growth without adding unnecessary complexity
  • Drive special projects from an ambiguous problem → structured solution
Cross-Functional Partnership
  • Partner with Sales, Operations, Product, and Client Success to align financial data with business activity
  • Act as a finance thought partner-digging into the "why" behind the numbers, not just reporting them
  • Help translate financial insights into clear, actionable recommendations

  • Strong GAAP foundation and comfort owning processes end-to-end

  • Exposure to sales/use tax and marketplace facilitator considerations is a strong plus
  • Experience with tools such as Stripe, QuickBooks Online (QBO), Ramp, and Notion
